First Grade – Where You’ll Watch Your Child Grow!
Dear First Grade Families,
Congratulations! You are the parent of a first-grader here at Queen of All
Saints School. I am very excited about the new school year and am looking
forward to working with you and your child. We are going to have a busy and
productive year, filled with exciting and memorable learning experiences.
First Grade is one of the most incredible years your child will have in their
school career! It is an exciting time as children begin a journey filled with
new adventures in the world of learning. This is a year of important
transitions, as well as one in which acquisition of new skills is accelerated.
You will be amazed at just how much your child will grow this year.
Our weeks will be filled with many new experiences and opportunities for
learning and exploration. The climate of our classroom and the relationships of
the children are a fundamental part of an environment where each child can grow
to his/her potential. As the children learn to consider and contribute to each
other’s well-being and learning, they will help create a place where all can
thrive, which they will take with them each year as they continue to develop as
a “school family” through their years at Queen of All Saints.
I am thrilled to be a part of this exceptional time in your child’s life. I
consider my time with the students a sacred privilege and I feel blessed to be
part of such a wonderful community.
