Nightly homework?

 Please check under the heading of Spelling homework here on the web.
 The homework is listed on the whiteboard each day as I review with the class before we leave.
 I check for understand of the class to make sure all have seen, heard and have their work.

If Homework Folder is forgotten at school?

 The child must sit on the red porch at recess to complete the assignment.

If the Homework Folder or the Friday Folder is NOT returned.

They sit on the red porch for 5 minutes and it must be returned the next day or the red porch time 
increases.

If the Friday Folder is not signed. (inital)

The child doen't receive a sticker on the front of their folder. We are working for a prize with the 
amount of stickers. Please look at the weekly work inside.

Monthly Newsletters ?

I send monthly Channel 2 newsletters home with the children. With reminders and what is happening in 
our 2nd grade classroom.

What should my child be reading half-way through 2nd grade?

 Most children are reading Chapter books. Please visit the Library often with your child.
 Have them read--read--read!
