March 22 is the end of 3rd quarter. Progress reports will be sent home soon. Fundraiser items for See's candy will be in the library on Monday, March 25th after school. The Vision fundraiser items will be distributed after Spring Break. We had a wonderful field trip to the Science Center last Thursday. It was amazing to stand and look at the Endeavor and try to imagine it flying through space. What a treat! Student-Led Conferences are also coming up next month. If you have not returned your time-request form, please get it in as soon as possible. In addition, students were given 7th grade elective request forms in TLC today. Those need to be returned by Tuesday, March 26. State testing will begin on May 6th. Sixth-graders will have four days of testing. More on that later.

Tomorrow is Halloween dress-up day for the students. In addition, PTA is having their annual Spooktacular from 5:00 - 7:30 p.m. on the Dana blacktop. Everyone is welcome. Tickets are available here at the gate. We look forward to having you here.

Many of my homeroom students will be attending camp for 2 1/2 days next week. I am sure they will have a wonderful experience. The students remaining here at Dana will be working with me along with students from Mrs. Gray and Ms. Andrade's homerooms. We will be doing some fun activities. Students will have no homework and will not be required to get their planners signed. On Wednesday, we will do some of the activities the students will be doing up at camp.

Tomorrow evening is "Back to School Night." Please join us. Students will be dismissed from school at 1:45 on Thursday.
