STUDENTS
Chess Club: We will have an informational meeting today during lunch for all
students who would like to learn how to play chess. Come to room 30 during
lunch today and see how easy it is to learn the basic rules of playing a fun
game of chess.
Video Club: We will not be meeting this week as there is no school on
Wednesday. Out next meeting will be Wednesday, November 18th.
From the Library: The library will be open today. Members of the book
selection committee, make sure to return your permission slips to Mrs.
Heraper today.
COTY Converse/Vans Day: If you do not have Converse or Vans you can wear ones
that look like them or you can substitute them for mix-matched shoes of any
kind.
Christian Club: Due to the Veteran's Day holiday this week, the Christian
Club meeting has been moved to Thursday in room 46. Same place, different
day. Rob will be our guest speaker. New students are welcome to join us.
Toys for Tots: Starting this week! Start collecting unused toys for the Toys
for Tots collection. Turn in toys to your first period teacher, and the class
with the most toys will win a pizza party.
KMO: Practice sessions will be on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays during lunch
in Rooms 44 and 45 for the Knowledge Master open, a computer based academic
team competition. All GATE students are invited to join. Bring your lunch.
Spirit Night Lip Sync: Are you interested in being in a lead role for the lip
sync at the Teen Center Spirit Night? Auditions for a lead part are on
Tuesday, Nov. 10th, in the cafeteria at 2:00pm (minimum day). Come prepared
with a 1 minute lip sync performance to a song of your choice! If you have
any questions, see Mrs. Needham in Rm.11
Spirit Night Tug-o-War: Are you interested in being on our Spirit Night Tug-o-
War team? If so, please see Mrs. Needham in Rm.11 for more information.
Student Congress: This week, Student Congress will meet on Thursday in Room
36. New members from all grade levels are welcome!
Family Photo Night: T.O.H.S. Junior Class Is sponsoring a Family Photo Night
with Cornerstone Photography, Wed. Nov. 18, from 5:00 - 8:30 at the TOHS
Cafeteria. Go on the TOHS Web-Site www.conejo.k12.ca.us/tohs to get more
information. You must submit the Reservation Form and $20 fee to TOHS
Activities Office so your time slot can be reserved. $20.00 fee includes your
sitting and 10X13 portrait. This is a great opportunity to get your holiday
pictures done. A generous percentage of the sitting fee goes directly to the
Junior Class.
5th Annual Turkey Day Dash: Family Fun. Fitness for All! Thurs. Nov. 26 at
the Oaks Mall. 7:00 a.m. registration; 8:00 Kids Fun Run/Walk; 8:30 5K
