Uniform Information

12-4-09  Please note:  If you ordered marching band shoes, your child should have brought them home today.  If they didn't please remind your child to check the band room and bring them home.  They need to have them for the Winter Concert on Monday.

Booster Wear - For those who ordered, Booster wear was passed out to Beginning and Concert Band students today.  Symphonic Band students will receive their things tomorrow (Friday)

All marching band uniforms should be with you at home.  Check with your student and make sure they have their uniform.  Your student will need to wear the uniform for the Winter concert on Monday, so this weekend is a good time to hem the pants if you have not already done so.  Remember, DO NOT cut the pants to hem them.

INFORMATION REGARDING USED BAND SHOES:
As a service to our families and a way to raise a little extra money, the
Redwood Band Boosters collect donated used band shoes and resell them at a
discount to band families.  Many of you purchased used shoes from us after
Thursday night’s meeting.  Thank you for your support!  For those of you who
may still wish to purchase used shoes, we have 35 pairs available.  Shoes
will continue to be sold on a “first come, first served” basis.  We will
accept email or phone reservations & hold shoes for you for two school days,
so you can send in the $15.00 payment of cash or check with your band student
(to be placed in the white box in the band room).  Please email Rhonda Martyn
at RedwoodBandTreasurer@verizon.net or 493-8375 to reserve your shoes.  Here
is a list of the current inventory (updated 11/10/09):

REMINDERS REGARDING UNIFORMS CARE FOLLOWING PARADE PERFORMANCES:

Please check that your student's pants are hung correctly on the hanger with
jacket so they won't be wrinkled for the next performance.   Let the uniform
air out for a few days before you zip it up into the garment bang.

Wash the dirty socks and shirts that may be stuffed in the garment bag.  A
dryer sheet may be placed in the bottom of the garment bag and in the shoes
to help with odors.  If the uniform is noticeable dirty or smelly please
contact Heather Hickman at the number listed above..
