NAME:
Miss Ross (pictured with my family in Chicago, 2009)
SCHOOL:
Redwood Middle School
CLASS:
7th Grade Math, Blue Team
In order for each student to have a fulfilling year, everyone who walks into
our classroom agrees to follow these rules:
Our classroom will be a place where all students are RESPONSIBLE:
for listening when others are talking
for sharing knowledge and helping classmates
for respecting the work, materials, and opinions of others
for cooperating on group projects
for leaving their work space clean
for finishing all food and drink before coming to class
for communicating with Miss Ross
Our classroom will be a place where all students have the RIGHT:
to learn
to feel safe
to ask questions
to make mistakes without being criticized
Our classroom will be a place where all students are EXPECTED:
to come to class with all their materials every day
to be in their seats ready to learn when the bell rings
to be proud of the amount of work and effort they put into learning
These expectations can be summed up into three rules:
1) Come to class ready to learn. This means you should have all of your
supplies AND be mentally ready to be challenged and work hard and try new
strategies.
2) Respect your classmates, teachers, and the rest of the staff at Redwood.
3) Be productive! Stay on task, participate, ask questions, cooperate, and
take notes!
