About The Teacher
Hello and welcome to my website. I am a 30+ year veteran teacher. I have been at Richardson Middle School since it reopened in 1993. I have taught 6th grade for 25 years and I believe I am lucky to be teaching children ages 11 and 12. Students at this age are a wonder and sharing in their lives, makes my job interesting and challenging. And, yes, it is true, yellow M&M's are the best. I have two daughters who each have one son, so I am very happy to be a grandmother of two boys. I visit Frisco, Texas and Indian Land, South Carolina many times throughout the year to see my daughters and their families and to catch up on all that is going on in their lives.

Mission
English/Language Arts--In the sixth grade, the enjoyment of reading, and the ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing, is the challenge. Social Studies--To help students understand the ancient world by studying ancient civilizations. The emphasis is on the people, their cultures and the gifts they have given the world.
