What is the best way to contact the teacher?

click on my name in the list of teachers on the Rincon website (staff tab).
It's usually easier/faster for me to respond to emails.
How are Grades Calculated?
Tests/Quizzes/Special Projects are worth 60%. Homework and other in-class
assignments are worth 40%.
If I need extra help, what should I do?
Ask questions in class and come after school for homework helpers. It will
ususally be Mon/Tues/Wed until 3:30 and Fridays until 3:00.
What happens if I don't do my homework?
You will be expected to come after school that day and complete it in
homework helpers. You will get full credit. If you can't come that day, then
you should come the next. However, anything turned in after the due date
will be late and will get 6 points.
How can I improve my test scores?
Always do your homework and come to homework helpers after school. Some
tests you will have the opportunity to make corrections and turn back in for
half credit. (If a question is worth 2 points originally, you can receive 1
point for it corrected.)
What if I miss a test or quiz?
You will be expected to make it up as soon as possible (within 1 week) AFTER
school. You cannot take it during class.
Is Homework assigned on Friday?
Homework is not assigned on Friday to be due on Monday. However, it may be
assigned on Friday if it is due on Tuesday.
How is HW graded?
Homework is worth 6, 8 or 10 points. It is broken down as follows:
10 points - 80% - 100%
8 points - 60% - 79%
6 points - 59% or below if at least half completed
How can I improve my HW grade?
If you receive an 8 or a 6 on the HW, you can make corrections to bring it
up to 80% and receive 10 points. This does not apply if the low score was
due to turning it in late.
If I think my grade is wrong in PowerSchool, what should I do?
Please show the item(s) in question to the teacher. If it is wrong, it will
be corrected.
