Happy Spring, Our trimester is quickly coming to an end.  We are finished with CST testing and the students worked very hard.   Thank you to the parents who donated snacks for testing.  It was a nice treat for everyone.   We will be finishing our year with several in-class projects that I hope the students will enjoy.  We are tapering off with the math assignments and our science is completed for the year.   We are enjoying learning more about Going West and the Westward Expansion.   As the year winds down, please check the dates below for upcoming activities and project due dates. If you have any questions, please email me at kcain@egusd.net.   Dates to Remember: 5/28 - Holiday - Memorial Day - no school 6/6 - State Capital and IMAX field trip - all day.   We need chaperones, please. 6/7 - Open House - 6:00 - 7:30 pm 6/8 - Strikes Bowling field trip - all day.  We need chaperones, please. 6/12- Family Life instruction 6/19 - Fifth Grade Field Day 6/20 - last day of school - minimum day 6/20 - Awards Assembly Below is a great website to help students learn the states and capitals.   Please have your students practice on the website below as well as practicing with their flashcards.
