Properties of Matter
The focus of the Properties of Matter Module is the physical and chemical properties that characterize matter.
Students learn characteristic properties like appearance, density, melting point, boiling point, and chemical behavior.
They investigate how these characteristics relate to pure substances and mixtures.
The module is divided into 3 parts: Characteristics of Matter; Mixtures and Solutions; and Compounds, Elements and Chemical Reactions.
Each lesson builds on skills and concepts learned in previous lessons.
