Expectations of Students Enrolled in

Regional Occupational Programs (ROP)

Students enrolled in a Regional Occupational Program (ROP) course are expected to:

 1.  Carry an ROP identification card and/or wear a school photo identification badge.

 

2. Provide transportation to and from class and the ROP training site.

 

3. Remain enrolled in their ROP course for the semester.   If a student has three (3) unexcused

    absences, he/she may be dropped from the class.

 

4. Arrive on time and be prepared for class.

 

5. Attend all scheduled classes.

 

6. Notify the teacher and the training site supervisor if unable to attend class or training site because

    of illness or other reasons.

 

7. Complete all training site activities and assignments and submit them when they are due.

 

8. Be courteous to other students and respect the ROP teacher and the personnel at the training site.

 

9. Conduct oneself in a mature manner.

 

10. Attend class with a positive attitude.

 

11. Dress appropriately for class and/or training site.

 

12. Notify the ROP teacher of attendance problems or schedule changes.

 

If any questions arise concerning ROP, students should contact their ROP teacher immediately. If this is impossible, high school students should contact their counselor at their home high school.
