Welcome

St. Callistus is a Catholic, parish school, founded by and affiliated with the Dominican Sisters of San Jose. We serve an ethnically diverse student population within the parish and its surrounding area in grades Pre-K through 8th. Our mission is to educate the whole child in an environment that is Christ-centered, academically excellent, safe, and respectful. We are charged with the task of developing every child to his God-given potential: spiritually, morally, academically, ethically, socially, and physically.

St. Callistus Catholic School is WCEA/WASC Accredited with a student teacher ratio average of 20:1.

CRYSTAL CATHEDRAL UPDATE:
God has smiled on our school. We celebrate a spectacular future home for our students and school community on the campus of the Crystal Cathedral. Help us celebrate our blessings by passing on the good news to your neighbors and friends.

Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,

This weekend our nation celebrates Memorial Day. We should all take this opportunity to thank God for those who are or were courageous and brave enough to serve our country and who have sacrificed their lives to stand up for the values of this country.

As we move quickly toward the end of this school year, I ask you to help your child stay focused on the classroom work that is to be accomplished. Encourage your child to continue to work hard and stay in close communication with the classroom teacher to make sure that the work is turned in on time. Ask your child to show you her/his planner and check that they are on task.

Today our Grade 8 students had their Schoolwide Learning Expectation (SLE) panels and they all did a great job! The panelists that were listening to their presentations included Fr. Tuyen , our Pastor, Fr. Juan Navarro, CM, and Mrs. Lois McMillan-Maldonado and Mrs. Patty Grass who are members of our Consultative School Board. We were so proud of our 8th graders today and we thank Mrs. Cathy Pierce for preparing our students so well for this experience.

May God bless all of the precious families of St. Callistus Catholic School.

Sincerely,
Margaret Meland
