Hello and welcome to 4th Grade!

My name is Mrs. Fenske and I am delighted to be part of St. Hedwig
School. As a student, I attended Holy Family Cathedral School and Mater Dei
High School before receiving my bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies from
Chapman University. While at Chapman, I was a member of the crew team.
After college, I attended the University of California, Irvine where I
obtained my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. For five years I taught in
the Anaheim City School District as a 3rd grade, 4th grade and 3/4th
combination teacher. Having received a Catholic Education myself, I have
always had the desire to return to a Catholic School and I am thrilled to be
here at St. Hedwig! I absolutely LOVE teaching, especially fourth grade, and
look forward to a wonderful year together!

Hello 4th graders and families!

My name is Mrs. Shea and I’m very excited to be a part of St. Hedwig
School! This is my first year teaching at St. Hedwig, and I couldn’t be
happier. I grew up in Fountain Valley and left only to attend college at
Boston University where I obtained my BA in Psychology and Sociology. I was
fortunate to meet my husband in the east coast, and he happened to be a
graduate of Servite High School. With my husband in the military we moved
around often to places such as Maine, Hawaii, and San Diego. While in San
Diego I obtained my MS degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology. In this
program I learned the value of education and how a teacher can impact a
child. After graduating from SDSU we moved to San Jose, where I obtained my
Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at San Jose State University. I’m
excited we were fortunate to move back to Southern California in November of
2010. As a mom of two small boys I place a high value on the education we
provide for our children. Seeing the wonderful education my husband and his
six siblings received in the Catholic schools, I decided I wanted to teach in
the same environment. I’m so excited to be here this year at St. Hedwig, and
I’m looking forward to a great year and my fabulous 4th graders!
