Dear Parents,

Variety Show--This Friday we won’t be going to mass because the children will come to school dressed for the Variety Show. All second graders, both boys and girls, are to wear their white school shirt and jeans.  If they don’t have jeans, then the long, blue uniform pants will do. The vests will be at school and they’ll put them on before the performances. Please try and buy or borrow a snap-cap or newsboy style cap. I have a couple in the classroom that you can look at if you’re unsure of the style.

Homework/tests--There is very little homework this week or for the rest of the year. Yea!!!  The homework can be turned in on Friday, but the spelling and scripture tests will be on Thursday. There’s too much excitement on Friday for test-taking.

Shoe Drive--Donate Your Old Shoes is an organization that gives shoes to people in Haiti, Africa, and other shoeless countries. SJA will be collecting shoes from Monday, May 21st until Friday, June 1st.  Please tie your shoes together or wrap them in a rubber band. Do not send in high heels or shoes with holes in them. Thank you.

Family Life books--There are still ten Family Life parent booklets at home. If you still have yours, please return it tomorrow.

Nightly:     Read 15 minutes, practice math flashcards,
Mon:       Spelling-Write words two times each, or go to wordle.net, type each word, print out word art and
                  turn in.

Tues:    Spanish – lesson 16 all pages
                Math pages 169, 170    
Wed:    Scripture verse—copy 2 times and memorize
                  Study for spelling and scripture tests
