Dear Parents,

Happy New Year! I know that it's been a wonderful two weeks off – lots of family fun, and NO homework! And now here we are …..back to reality and lots of school FUN! (yes, I do try my best to make it fun!).

Here's a look at what is coming up in January:

TODAY at 1:15 pm is the Geography Bee in the Parish Hall! Good luck to our representatives!

MISSION SAN DIEGO Field trip is on for next Tuesday. I have enclosed volunteer reminders notices in the blue folder for our scheduled parent drivers. As a reminder, students will be wearing their regular school uniform, and will be allowed to shop for a souvenir at the religious gift shop. I suggested that they bring about $5. There are several items available for that price. You may send more if you choose to do so. There are mission books available there that might be useful for the upcoming research paper, and they average around $10 to $15.

SPELLING BEE will be held on Thursday, January 21st @1:15 in the Parish Hall.

Our January trip to the Encinitas Nursing Facility is scheduled for Friday, January 22nd. That day also marks the end of the second quarter.

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK will be celebrated the week of January 25 through Sunday, the 31st – the day of our official OPEN HOUSE – more details to come by next week.

Report Cards will be handed out on Friday, January 29th.

Have a wonderful week,

Anna Marie Howard
