FOURTH GRADE UPDATE

November 12, 2009

Dear Parents,

Yesterday was Veterans' Day, but also a very special day of remembrance for me – the first anniversary of my mom's passing. I was presented with a lovely plant and card signed by all the fourth graders yesterday morning, and I was so very touched by the thoughtfulness and care.

Conferences have begun, and I am so happy to have the opportunity to speak individually to your child and to you. This is a good time to review the progress already made, and to set some goals to strive for the remainder of the school year.

DRILL TESTS – you are now going to see two drill test papers every week in your child's Wednesday folder. These timed tests are to help the children master their multiplication and division facts, and the scores are NOT going to be entered as part of their math grade. Students who are able to complete accurately the two sided test within 5 minutes time will be treated to lunch by me!
