Dear Parents,

We are all so excited about the Christmas Pageant!  The students have been working hard memorizing their song and movements.  They had a chance to practice last Friday when they performed for their elderly buddies at the nursing home.  Everyone was so impressed!

I know everyone wants to get to the church early tomorrow to get good seats, but I’ve been told that the church doors  will not open until 6:45 pm. PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR CLASSROOM DOORS WILL OPEN PROMPTLY AT 6:30 PM – NO EARLIER.  All 4th grade students must be in the classroom no later than 6:50pm.

LOOKING AHEAD TO JANUARY 2010………………………………..

FIELD TRIP TO MISSION SAN DIEGO – I have enclosed a field trip permission slip in today’s blue folder.  We will be going on Tuesday, January 12th from 9 to 12 noon.  Please fill out the permission slip and return by tomorrow or Friday the latest.  Thank you!

GEOGRAPHY BEE will be held in the Parish Hall on Wednesday, January 6th at 1:15pm.  All parents are invited to attend this annual event.  We will be cheering on our 4th grade representatives!

Congratulations to Brooke Connolly, Jack Mandala, and Andy McDonald – they are the first three students to be this year’s MATH WHIZ!  As a reminder, a Math Whiz is able to pass the two-sided multiplication and division drill test in 5 minutes (190 facts).  Winners are taken out to lunch to Subways as my treat!

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish all of you all the joys that Christmas brings.  May you be blessed with His peace. Enjoy your vacation!  See you back on Monday, January 4th, 2010!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
