�Why I love Saint James Academy�
                           by the 4th grade students

In celebration of Catholic Schools Week, every student at our school was asked
to write a short essay on why they love SJA.  Each teacher was asked to choose
one.  One student from each class is reading his/her essay every day this
week.  I had a difficult  time choosing because everyone did a great job. 
Ultimately, I chose Sienna's essay.  However, I wanted to give recognition to
the rest of the class for their wonderful ideas. So, what I've done is quote
ONE sentence from each student's essay to share with you,  ENJOY.............

Carly � I love the students, they are very generous and kind.  The parents
help out a lot, which I think is fantastic.

Colleen � Mrs. Howard is a very fair teacher.  One of my favorite things is to 
earn letters  In fact, we just got our �A� for �PASTA�!

Will C.- We have an excellent music teacher who designs variety shows and
class plays.

Alyssa � St. James provides religion classes.  In religion, I get to learn
about my faith.

Miranda � We also have peacemaker awards.  We learn manners and to be polite.

Michael � Our school has very fun fund-raisers, like the golf tournament,
Gala, magazine drive, cookie dough drive, parish activities, gift wrap, and
many more.

Dana � Why I love the teachers is that they put 100% to care and to love the
students.

Natalie � I like the special assemblies.  This year we listened to a
storyteller who had a pet string.

Anthony � The reason I love SJA is because I think it has a beautiful campus,
and wonderful students.

William Jack- I really like Social Studies because you learn new things about
the world and history.  My teacher, Mrs. Howard, does a fantastic job teaching
students about explorers.

Andres � We also have the BEST PRINCIPAL EVER!

Davis � St. James Academy has the best extra classes like music, library,
p.e., and computers.  SJA also is known for its fantastic parents.

Kenedi � I love St. James because there are very caring teachers.

Luke � I also love how this school is organized.  For instance, Mrs. Howard
has a big red �R� that stands for responsibility.  She has only lost 5 things
this year, but she finds them in the next 30 seconds.

Lisa � What I love about St. James is the teachers.  They help me with
directions that I don't get and if kids aren't kind, they bring peace!

Miles � This school is great because we have excellent supplies that we use
for all subjects. Plus one of my favorite things is all the traditions we have
here.

Rebecca � One reason I love St. James is because I get to learn about God and
I get to go to mass.

Nicholas � I like that we go to mass every Friday morning.  We all get to talk
about God.

Eric � St. James Academy has a great field you can play on.  It has a
basketball hoop that I play on every single chance we get to go outside.

Olivia � Our aide, Mrs. Reed helps Mrs. Howard.  Mrs. Howard said she is a BIG
help!

Cole � The school is clean and has equipment like basketballs and baseballs.
The new playground  is a big thing for the students.

Makaela- We have resource teachers that help you out if you are having trouble
with a class.

Ciara � I love the hot lunch program.  My favorite is pasta day!

Marisa � Our school is very small, which makes it extra special.  The way the
school is designed, it makes it feel very warm and welcoming.

Jake � I like the Halloween carnival.  My favorite booth is the one with the
obstacle course and you race against someone.

Taryn-St. James Academy is very unique and has a great education for all
students. The staff is just amazing, and they are also so dedicated.

Austin- This is the best school for me because the teachers are great.  Also
the students are kind and I have a great time coming here.

Tessa � St. James is the school for me. I will tell you how this school is so
outstanding.  At St. James, the kids are the kindest in the world.  Also the
church is spectacular and gorgeous.

Do you know what a good school is made up of? Well, I'll tell you right now. 
Why I love St. James Academy is because of what it's made up of.  SJA is made
up of great teachers and support.  It is also made up of a Catholic
curriculum.  Every Friday, I get to go to mass and express my beliefs to God.
 Also every day I get a religion class taught to me.  Another reason why I
love SJA is because of the uniforms.  I am so fortunate to have a great
looking uniform.  Yes, sometimes I get tired of wearing it, but I'll tell you
right now, if I didn't have it, I would spend hours thinking about what to
wear every day.  But, out of all these great things about St. James Academy,
my most favorite thing of all is probably music.  I love music class because
Ms. Heller is so wonderful and kind.  She always has a great smile on and is
always happy to see you.  In music class, I get to sing.  Now, I wouldn't say
I'm the best singer, but when I sing, I always become happy and joyful.  Now,
can you see why I love St. James Academy?  All I have left to say is that if
you know of a school that is made up of all these things, then that school is
probably just as perfect as SJA � well, not quite as perfect!
