MINUTES.
Both grades are continuing with the vocab study. Each Monday, we learn and
pronounce new words and the quiz is on Friday. I have added a comprehension
section as well. Expect a vocab quiz every Friday each week.
7th Grade:
We are moving into Medieval Mayans, Aztecs, and Incas. This is an interesting
study of very advanced cultures!
Chapter 6 Quiz on Africa is Monday; Unit test is Wednesday. We spend Tuesday
reviewing both sections.
L.A.: We continue reading the anti-Utopian novel The Giver. Students should
be to Chapter 6.
8th grade:
8th graders presented their senate bills for vote. They were wonderful.
parents should ask your son/daughter to share them. They seem to care a lot
about the environment and water shortage.
Social Studies Chapter 5 Quiz has been postponed. We have not finished the
unit. We are studying the era of Thomas Jefferson and his importance to
America. We are also watching part of the HBO series on John Adams.
Student Posters (either Republican or Federalist) are due next Monday, the 16th.
L.A. We are now reading Fahrenheit 451. Students should finish the novel ny
November 19th to discuss. Test in November 20th.
8th GRADE RELIGION: We are beginning to work on the Christmas Program with
Mrs. Oldham in music.
