Dear Parent,
Welcome to the wonderful world of Kindergarten! This year will prove to be
a year of tremendous growth not only for your child, but you also! It is
imperative that we all work together to ensure your child's success and
instill a love for learning early on. This parent page is designed to help
give you ideas for enriching your child's learning experience while in
Kindergarten. Remember not only are we here for your child but for you
also!
Communication is a key factor in a successful parent teacher relationship!

Points to Ponder
Your involvement in our room not only helps us tremendously, but also boosts
your child's self esteem and confidence! There will be a sign up sheet for
classroom helpers on September 3 during Back to School Night. If you have a
special talent to share, please feel free to contact me.
Each month you will receive a classroom calendar. It will contain important
classroom information such as party dates, birthdays, letter of the week,
monthly themes, days we attend mass, and requests for items that may be needed
for various art projects! There is also a Pride envelope that comes home
every Monday with our school newsletter and additional parent information.
The envelope must be signed and returned ASAP!
We will have a conference at the end of the first trimester. After that we
have them as needed. If you would like to schedule a conference, please
send in a letter requesting a date and time. Please take into consideration
that during the day teaching is my main priority! Conferences are preferred
before or after school!
TAKE HOME FOLDER
Kindergarten folders are sent home in a clear plastic envelope every Monday;
inside you will find a homework packet, monthly calendar and any letters or
important papers. Please review with your child and make sure to sign and
return any necessary paperwork! The clear plastic folder needs to be
returned the following day.
No backpacks are allowed in Kindergarten, as our cubbies are too small.
STOP
Although we are all eager to talk with you about your child, the
morning/afternoon arrival period is not always the best time for a lengthy
discussion. The children need our attention and we want to be available to
them. But, please feel free to phone or e-mail and we will get back to you
as soon as possible!
Looking forward to a great year! Peace and Love in Christ,
Janeen C. Elorduy Jamie Fontana
