Summer Reading Information

Both of the assigned novels from the summer reading list must be completed by August 24th. There will be an assessment of both novels, which will be included in the first trimester Literature grade.

There will be an exam on novel The Lightning Thief on Thursday, August 27th. This novel will be used again for class discussions when we reach our Historical Fiction unit during the second trimester.

The novel Dovey Coe will be discussed during the first two weeks of school. The novel will lead us into our first Literature unit of Challenges and Conflict. There will be multiple in-class activities and homework assignments regarding this novel. There will be an exam on the novel on Friday, September 4th.
