The Sly Park field trip for the 2009-2010 school year is planned for the week of October 19th.
The trip provides an exciting opportunity for students to connect with nature, bond with
classmates and teachers, and significantly reinforces the 6th grade Science standards.

Sly Park Chaperones will be needed for the trip. Chaperones are expected to attend for a half week (2 1/2) days or a full week. Typically there is a need for 2-3 male chaperones and 2-3 female chaperones. All chaperones MUST have fingerprint paperwork cleared with the diocese in order to attend as a chaperone. Please contact Mrs. Chargin to find out about more information.

Required Items:

Sleeping bag and 1 sheet or 2 blankets and 2 sheets
2-4 pairs of long pants
4 shirts
4 sets underwear
5 pair socks (extra in winter)
Sleepwear
2 pairs of shoes suitable for hiking
1 jacket or coat
1-2 sweaters or sweatshirts
Rain poncho or raincoat (durable plastic or rubberized material) Important!
A t-shirt to silkscreen in arts & crafts
Bath towel, hand towel & washcloth
