Mad Minute Math Links
All students need to practice the basic math facts in order to "master"
them. The following web sites provide students opportunities to gain
valuable practice outside of school. Some of the sites allow you to
practice on-line while you are timed. Others allow you to print out
worksheets specifically designed to give you help where you need it! Most
of them allow you to change the math operation (addition, subtraction,
multiplication, division) and the difficulty level.
MAD MINUTE PRACTICE SITES
MATH MAGICIANS allows you to choose any operation and any specific number
and practice against a 60 second clock. It provides a score at the end of
each game.
Math Magician Games
One section of the MATH CAFE site where students can practice flash cards on-
line. Parents may need to identify which level their children should be
using and walk them through it the first time.
Math Cafe Flash Cards Grades: 1-3
One section of the MATH CAFE site where students can create their own
practice worksheets. For example, a student having difficulty learning
the "8's" in multiplication can create a worksheet just for that. Parent
help required to make the worksheets.
Math Cafe Worksheet Generator
This is a fun site for the younger kids who like baseball. It has
variations for all math operations; however, the "easy" setting seems to
create problems with answers under 10 and the medium goes to double-digit
math, so it is probably better suited for younger students to utilize the
easy setting.
Fun Brain Math Baseball
Chose from grades 1 through 4 to see all the different typed of worksheets
that they have already created--one is sure to be good practice for you!
Math Cafe Premade Worksheets
This web site allows you to practice with on-line flash cards. You can
practice with just one number (say you are having problems with your 7's).
You can choose a set number of flashcards (there are 30 in each Mad Minute)
or can set it to go on indefinitely. You may use a timer if you like.
