About The Teacher Label:
About The Teacher
I am a native Californian, raised in Fullerton. I have my Bachelor's Degree in business with a concentration in accounting from Cal State Fullerton. I was an accountant before I decided to make a career change and obtain my teaching credential. This is my 5th year at St. Norbert's, and I can honestly say that I am in my element. I love teaching here, and everyday I thank God for such a wonderful place to teach math and Spanish. I am a true sports lover, as my students well know. So anytime you wish to talk sports, I'd love the opportunity to talk to you.
Mission Label:
Mission
My mission is to empower my students to reach their full potential. I will treat them with respect, compassion and understanding and will expect the same in return. I will establish high expectations for my students in the areas of academics, behavior, and peer interactions. I will hold them responsible for meeting those expectations. My mission is to create a positive classroom environment in which my students and I can reach our full potential. I will help my students to develop a positive attitude about themselves and those around them by teaching them the needed strategies to achieve this. I want to empower my students with problem solving strategies, to be independent thinkers, and responsible learners that will enable them to overcome any challenges they may meet and to help them be more successful. My mission as a teacher is to instill a lifelong love of learning and reading in my students, so they will know that through continuous learning and reading they can make their dreams come true. I want to empower my students to believe in themselves and because of that belief they will be able to achieve their highest potential.
