Tests/Quizzes
Religion
Most weeks you can expect a Religion chapter test on Tuesdays.  We read 
the chapter on Wednesay and Thursday, and complete the review in the book on 
Friday.  I tell the students what sections to highlight, so they can focus on 
the most important information.

Vocab/Spelling
We have spelling or vocab tests on Fridays.  The students will know the week 
ahead if we are skipping a week due to days off, extra assemblies, field 
trips, etc.  We will begin each unit focusing on spelling for a week and then 
move to vocabulary the second week.

Literature
We read a story almost every week.  The story quizzes will be on Thursdays.  
I give the students comprehension questions to focus on. We also read three 
novels as a class during the year.

Math, Science and Social Studies
We will have a Chapter Test at the end of every chapter. Students are always 
given at least 2 days notice of any tests, but I usually give more notice 
than that.

I usually do not give tests on Mondays.  If I need to, I give the students 
plenty of notice the week before.

Homework
The students will have Math homework Mon-Thurs.  Vocabulary flashcards are 
usually due on Thursdays, but students may get a head start over the weekend 
if they would like.  Other than math and studying for tests, most students 
will have homework only if they didn't complete the assignments in class.  It 
is very rare for me to assign anything other than typing a report for weekend 
homework.

Reading Logs
Students will be given a log every Friday.  They will need to read 150 
minutes every week and submit the log on the following Friday.
