Every Monday, students are assigned 16 spelling words. These are to be
written 5 times each and to be used to complete a worksheet. Students will
also have a penmanship practice sheet.
6th grader spelling words for the week of 10/30: biscuit, dough, grown,
straight, fierce, angel, adopt, freight, bedtime, creak, middle-aged,
guessed, steel, weak, courage, thunderstorm, later, affect, angle, decent,
receive, descent, guest, steal, week, latter, effect (NOTE- this week there
are more words as it is a unit review. Next week there will only be 16
words).
7th grader spelling words for the week of 10/30:foolish, selfish, greenish,
grayish, childish, reddish, marine, masculine, feminine, genuine, handsome,
lonesome, wholesome, awesome, backward, awkward
8th grader spelling words for the week of 10/30:pneumonia, arithmetic,
heroes, stadium, aroma, episode, marathon, rhythm, labyrinth, physical,
philsosophy, phenomenon, alphabet, architecture, chorus, melancholy
Each trimester students will also need to complete a book report.
