High School Diploma

-Must be 18 yrs. old
-Earn a H.S. diploma while studying @home
-Classes are free
-How to enroll:
     -come to the main office @ SHS during office hrs.
     -bring an official transcript from previous school attended
-Courses Offered:
     *English 9-12               *Earth Science
     *World History              *General Math
     *U.S. History                 *Algebra
     *American Government        *Various Electives
     *Economics                  *Physical Science

*Must pass both portions of the CA High School Exit Exam to earn 
a 
high 
school diploma
-Open enrollment for the semester
-Students meet individually with teacher for 1 hour per week
-Focus: CAHSEE- passing exam by providing intervention courses 
and 
more 
rigorous coursework

     -Semester long courses in Math and ELA
     -24 hours of intervention coursework
     -Algebra I Class
     -Credentialed teacher
     -Provides extra help to students in the independent study 
program

Parenting & Child Development Preschool

-Days Offered:
     -Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday 8:30 to 11:30 & 
Monday/Wednesday 12:30 to 3:30
-3 and 4 year old classes - twice a week
-Located at the United Methodist Church @ 9th & P Streets in 
Sanger
-Parenting Class - Tuesday from 6-9pm  FREE
     -covers nutrition, discipline and educational resources for 
parents
     -Or parents can forfeit class and pay $60.00 per month for 
preschool class.

Purpose:
     -get a better job
