Absences
Kings River parents/guardians - please contact the office (875-3375) before 8:30 a.m. if your son or daughter will be absent. All absences need to be cleared by the parent/guardian within three (3) days.
For doctor and dentist appointments, please schedule them after school when possible so that your son/daughter does not miss any more school than necessary. Please bring appointment verification from the doctor/dentist to the office. It is important to remember that the amount of credits your student earns towards graduation depends on his/her attendance.
Taft (Independent Study) parents - There are no excused absences on Independent Study. Students need to be at their scheduled appointments on time, every time. Personal appointments should be scheduled on days when the student does not meet with his/her teacher, in order to ensure that the student will be successful on Independent Study.
