Mr. Ramon Pecina has been teaching for 35 years. His experiences
range from Elementary thru College level. Mr. Pecina holds an A.A., B.A.,
M.A. degrees from various colleges and universities and a number of Teaching
Credentials from the California State Department of Education.
In addition to his educational career, Mr. Pecina is a song writer,
performer and recording artist since 1968. His performances have
been at the local, state, national and international levels. In three
occasions, Mr. Pecina was a participant at the USA O.T.I. Song Festival in
Miami, FL. He participated as a writer and interpreter in these festivals.
The O.T.I. Festivals were televised on the Univision Spanish Network
and transmitted to 16 Latin American countries. Each time the festival
was aired, it is estimated that 125,000,000 million people tuned in to
their television sets.
Mr. Pecina feels that age is no limitation to individuals who want to enjoy
and express their artistic talents. After three years of work, he is
releasing a CD early September, 2006. The CD will include 11 of his
favorite songs he has written during the last twenty years. The songs are
all original and in Spanish; Mr. Pecina is the author to more than 120
songs. Jonathan Brooks from England did all the arrangements in this
recording.
During his career in television, Mr. Pecina has produced over 2500
hundred television shows. These shows have aired on local broadcast
and cable channels. "I want to share all the knowledge and experience I
have in the area of the performing arts with the young people I come in
contact with." He has done that during the last 17 years while teaching
the Film Studio Classes at Sanger High School. There are over 55
young people working in the television and entertainment industry that
started their careers in the SHS Video Program. Some of his former
students work for ABC,CBS, FOX, NBC,Telemundo,Univision,Telefutura,
USA, Disney and other companies providing global entertainment.
To introduce young people to the world of television, audio
engineering , writing for television and broadcasting their creative
packaged projects on CCTV, CATV, local and cable television channels.
