 Welcome

Welcome to Jackson! Our mission is to educate the whole child. We believe that all children can excel at academics, and that activities and citizenship are just as important. Our students know that we have high expectations for them, and they strive to meet them. We welcome involvement from parents and the community.

 Message from Mrs. Jones

Jackson school did very well in the state testing and we have more students proficient and advanced on the STAR test than ever before! This is because of the hard work both staff and students have done and will continue to do! This year, we will continue with several programs we have at school to help all children reach their potential. During our Pyramid of Intervention time, students are grouped to get their literacy needs met. We are also having a school-wide Academic English Language Development time to help all students become "masters" of our language. Feel free to stop by the office and ask to see our programs in practice. I can arrange to take you on a visit! As always, the Jackson Staff is here to provide the best education for your child. If you have any questions, please ask your child's teacher or the office staff. Thank you for your continued support!!
   

Office Hours

Our school office hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. The after school program office is located in Room 11 and is open from 2:15-6:00.
 

Spirit Store

Are you a new member of the Jackson family and need some spirit wear? Did you have a growth spurt over the summer and no longer fit in your Jackson Jaguar shirt? Well, lucky for you our Spirit Store is open every Friday afternoon from 2:30-3:15. Our PTO is stocking it with lots of cool spirit wear for all ages! Please check it out!!
 

Attendance

Our goal is to have an attendance level at 97% or higher. So far, we have been achieving that goal. We have one of the highest attendance rates in the district and we owe that to all the parents who make sure their child comes to school every day on time! I tell the children every day that "A day of school is a day of learning!" Please continue to help keep your child healthy by ensuring they get enough rest, eat healthily, wash hands, and dress appropriately for the weather. Thank you!!
 

Parent Conference

Parent Conference week is scheduled for the week of Nov. 16 - 20. Every day this week is a MINIMUM DAY. You will be receiving your scheduled day and time soon. Please let us know if this time does not work for you and we will try to reschedule a more convenient time. It is very important that you are on time for your conference. Teachers have many conferences to give and they want to be able to spend as much time as it takes to go over your child's progress. If you have any questions, please let your child's teacher know. Thank you!
 

Book Fair is Coming!

Our fall book fair is coming the week of parent conferences, Nov. 16-20. Every classroom will be able to tour the fair and to select books and other items for purchase. We will have a family night where all families can tour the book fair on Wednesday, Nov. 18. There will be free popcorn and a visit from Mrs. Frizzle! Look for more information on this night coming soon!
