I can’t believe that we have already been in school for over a month now! I hope your fourth grade
experience has been a great one so far. You all have amazed me with eagerness to learn and your
amazing behavior! We are now in the month of October and boy is it a long one! So buckle up
and stay focused because the end of the trimester will be here before you know it!
Here is what we have scheduled for this month!
Reading:
This month we will continue with identifying the main event in a story, but we are also going to be
working with character motives and making inferences
Math:
This month we are going to continue with double-digit multiplication and move into division. STUDY
YOUR MATH FACTS!!! Our math will be soooooooo much easier if you know your math facts. By the
end of the month we will be starting algebra!
Writing:
With our writing we will continue to write narratives. I’m excited and prepping myself for your scary
stories. I hope they don’t give me nightmares! We will also work on combining sentences and
identifying topic sentences and supporting details.
Science:
Once we finish with unit 1 of social studies we are going to hopefully get through unit 1 of science this
month. Unit one will deal with magnetism and electricity!!!
