About Mr. Shelton

I was born in Santa Barbara and went
to local schools Cold Spring, Santa Barbara 
Junior and Senior High, Westmont, and UCSB.  
Additional graduate studies were 
were at Cal State San Bernardino.  
My wife and I have been lucky enough to raise a 
family of four sons, all of whom  followed 
my path through elementary, junior, and 
senior high.  Thankfully, all four sons have 
found independent trails of their own.  
I love art, poetry, and music, and even 
record cds and perform my orginal music both 
here in Santa Barbara and away.  I am always 
writing poetry, essays, and songs--all 
of which I consider variations on the same thing: writing!

I love teaching because of the opportunities for 
creativity and success I see in each of my students.  
I want my students to always ask questions, 
and keep seeking answers 
(or more questions).

Mission For The Class

Making mistakes creates opportunities
for learning.  In this class we will strive to 
respect and listen to each and everyone who
 enters this community.  Will will try to 
grow academically as well as emotionally 
as we continue to become responsible 
citizens both in the classroom and out.
