I grew up in good old New Jersey. I attended Purdue University and earned a
BS in Biology. Later I attended Chapman University for my teaching credential
and Masters Degree in curriculum. I lived in Los Angeles (San Pedro) for 11
years and then moved to Santa Ynez 14 years ago. I was one of the founding
parents of our school and feel very dedicated to making SYVCS the best school
in the valley. I have a wonderful husband, three incredible kids and the
cutest little grand daughter and grand son ever.
I try to make all my classes fun, interesting and valid to all students.
My thought is; if the class is boring to me it's boring to the students and
that must change! I try to incorporate art, music, drama, reading skills,
research skills, comprehension skills, writing skills, and social skills into
all my classes. I hope to instill an appreciation for the subject being
studied even if perhaps it is not the students favorite. I hope to nurture a
love for the subject if it is the students favorite.
