About The Teacher
This is Mrs. Beaird's 7th year at the Charter School. She has taught first and second grades. Before that, she taught first grade at Dixie Canyon Elementary in Los Angeles for 3 years. She graduated from CSUN with a degree in Journalism and earned her teaching certificate from the LAUSD District Internship program. Mrs. Beaird is a recent college graduate as well. On Sept. 4, 2009, Cal Poly has awarded her a Master's Degree from the Educational Leadership and Administration program as well as a CA Administrative Credential. The Beaird family is very happy to be living on the Central Coast. She lives in Arroyo Grande with her husband, daughter and son. They have two dogs named Freckles and Scooby. They made the move from the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles to enjoy the lifestyle of a smaller community. When she is not teaching, Mrs. Beaird likes to spend time with her family and friends. You can find her on the sidelines of a soceer field watching her daughter, Tayler, play soccer(Go Madrid!),at the BMX track cheering for her son Clay, working in her garden at home, exercising or maybe relaxing at the beach.
