Math (Mr. Farris)

We are in our final month of the school year.  From this point forward, we are focused primarily on preparing for the STAR Test and the Final Exam.  The final will be supplied by Santa Ynez High School, and scores will be communicated to the high school for articulation.  Make sure to check mygradebook for any missing assignments.  We are running out of time to make up any incomplete work.  After STAR Testing is complete, we will have one more packet of homework problems to finish, and many pages of homework corrections and test corrections to complete in our interactive notebooks.  Let's all work together to finish the year strong.  We have just two big tests to prepare for, so our focus now is on finishing incomplete work, and reviewing all of the material we have been working on throughout the year.  With effort, we will do well and finish strong.

A quick summary of the content of the syllabus is as follows. . . .
Homework is assigned daily and must always be done in pencil on loose hole punched lined or graph paper.
Homework corrections must be completed in the interactive notebook by the next day.
There will usually be 2 quizzes per chapter.  Quiz redos for half credit are due before the day of the chapter test.
All assignments other than homework (vocab packet, outline, project, notebook) are due before the chapter test.
Late work can only ever earn half credit.  Work finished after the chapter test cannot earn any credit.
The chapter test is always the very last assignment of any chapter.  I cannot accept any work after the chapter test.
