My name is Araceli Juarez and I have been teaching for over 17 years;
enjoying every minute of it. I began my teaching career as a teacher's
assistant right after high school and all throughout college. My first
teaching assignment was in the Los Angeles Unified School District. I am
proud to say that I have been teaching at Solorio since the very first day
the doors opened to children in this community in August of 2000. I taught
the morning session in room k1 for the first 6 years and now teach the pm
session. I love teaching here at Solorio. It's my home away from home.
My family includes my high school sweetheart Frank, my brilliant son Frank
III, and my beautiful twin daughters Lauren and Madeline. All my children
attended Solorio, Heritage Intermediate, and are now at Etiwanda High
School. As a family, we enjoy spending time with each other playing
basketball, board games, jogging and hiking. On weekends, when were not
getting away to Palm Springs, Vegas, San Diego, or Disneyland, we like to
take our dogs Max and Mia (wire fox terriers) for a walk around the park.
I hope to provide an environment rich in experiences that will facilitate
every child's growth academically, socially, and emotionally. At the same
time, I hope to promote an awareness and sensitivity to caring and respecting
themselves, each other, and our earth's resources.
