St. Catherine of Alexandria - Feast Day November 25
The resource lab's Saint is St. Catherine of Alexandria. She is the
patroness of philosophers, preachers, and students. She converted to
Christianity, through a vision, in a time when Christians were persecuted.
Later, she was asked to marry into to the Royal Family of Alexandria but,
refused because she would have to deny her faith. Because of her refusal,
she was put in prison. But, in prison, she converted two hundred prisoners.
Later, she was martyred, or killed for her belief in Jesus.
The Resource Lab teacher is just like St. Catherine. She can teach many
people like Catherine did. The Resource Lab is used for Math, writing,
History, and studying. For many students the Resource Lab is another great
place to learn. These are some of the reasons that the Resource Lab Saint
should be Saint Catherine of Alexandria.
In the 2010-11 school year students submitted essays to help chose the Lab
Saint. Gabrilla Minassian and Nicolas Toller chose St. Catherine of
