LONG TERM PROJECTS
All projects are done in class
Second Trimester:
Due Date: January 20
Project: Heritage Quilt: In Social Studies we learn about our ancestors. The
students create a quilt with paper squares and ribbon in class. Students are
required to bring in items that represent their heritage. These items can be
pictures, stickers, photocopies, and drawings. Student will glue these items
to their paper quilt.
Due Date
Immigrant Day Project:Students come dressed as Immigrants. Students must bring
one suitcase with documents; bring a sack lunch.
Third Trimester:Measurement Project
Due Date:
Project: Measure an item using nonstandard and standard units; Presentation
can be in poster form or on the computer in a form of powerpoint.
Third Trimester: Speech
Due DATE:
Project: Read a Biography on a Famous American in the 20th Century and become
that famous person and present a speech. Students must come dressed in their
costume to school. Students will also perform in a play. Everyone is invited
to watch these famous Americans come alive.
