Discipline to Discipleship
Our Fourth Grade discipline plan has been developed to help each child.
Levels of Discipleship
Level 4 Doing God’s Will: When you do what is right for no other reason but because it is the right thing to do, you are a diligent disciple of God and doing his will.
Level 3 Conscientious Christian: You are aware of right and wrong, but occasionally need to be reminded to do what is right. When you choose to follow that reminder because it is the right thing to do, you are a conscientious Christian.
Level 2 Breaking Commandments: When you know the rules/ commandments but choose to break the rules, you need someone to guide you.
Level 1 Not Doing Gods Will - When you do whatever you want and make up your own rules, you are following a different way than a disciple would follow.
Once student goes to level 1, Discipline Coordinator and Principal will review the matter and come up with an appropriate discipline measure
In our classroom we have a Color Coded Chart to monitor the choices that we make within the classroom and at recess.
Encouragement:
If I choose to follow “Discipleship Plan” I will receive one or more of the following:
* Verbal praise
* Stickers/ a stamp
* Positive notes
* Prizes from apple box
* Treats
