Principal's Message

Easter greetings to you, my St. Bernard Family!

There is nothing like the innocence and delight of children to inspire us to experience the spirit of Easter and Pentecost, bask in the new life of Christ and renew the gift of the Holy Spirit with pure joy. Children love celebrations, but sometimes it can be difficult for them to make the important distinction between what they are celebrating and how they are celebrating it. When Easter arrives, the simultaneous appearance of chocolate bunnies, egg hunts, baskets and family feasts can lead children to reduce the meaning of Easter to the sum total of its fun and delicious parts. As Catholic parents and educators, we are the guide toward the faith understanding of Easter, leading them gently into what is the essential of this joyous Christian feast:
The Resurrection of Jesus is the crowning truth of our faith in Christ, a faith believed and lived as the central truth by the first Christian community -Catechism the Catholic Church CCC#638

God Bless,
Mrs. Oswald
