My name is Miss Larkin and I am happy to annouce I will be teaching your first graders. The first week and a half with your children has been wonderful. Some changes have been made to our behavior chart and classroom management. The new colors for the clip chart have been added below. Soon, students will be bringing home a behavior contract to be signed. New math facts have also been sent home this week, which students will need to study for homework. My goal is for them to memorize these facts by the end of the school year to prepare them for second grade. New Clip ChartOutstanding!- Student is going above and beyond, doing a fabulous job. Student receives a gem on their clothspin. 5 gems= a special prize.Great Job!-Student is setting an excellent example for the class.Good Day- Student is doing everything they should to show responsibility.Ready to Learn- Students start everyday here.Make Better Choices-Student needs to be reminded at least three times to follow directions/follow/rulesTeacher's Choice-Student will miss part of recess or have to take an appropriate "time out" at our coral reef to reflect on decisions made.Parent Contact-A note will be sent home describing the situation the student was involved in that day.
