I know that God led me to teach at St. Francis and I feel so blessed to be
teaching 2nd grade again. Preparing the students for the sacraments of
First Reconciliation and First Eucharist is such an amazing gift.
This is my 10th year of teaching and I am so excited to be teaching in a
Catholic school where I can freely share my faith and my devotion to the
Blessed Mother and the Rosary.
I believe school should be interesting and fun, and also comfortable enough
so students can discover their strengths and develop into the best person
they can be. Each child is an individual with gifts which need to be
discovered and encouraged. My goal is for students to recognize the
infinite power and love of God and to realize that we are all
special in God's eyes.
My mission for the class this year is to help students find success
academically and increase responsibility for behavior and materials.
Additionally, however, I want them to begin to really KNOW God. I want
them to be amazed by our "Awesome God" and begin to comprehend that He knew
us before we were conceived in the womb. I also want the students to
embrace the richness of our beautiful Catholic faith and look forward with
knowledge and excitement to the day they will recieve our Lord in Holy
Communion.
