I am a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona, and have been a professional educator
for the last 18 years. This is my second year at St. Francis. Five years of
my teaching experience were spent teaching middle
school language arts, and an additional six were spent teaching
kindergarten, third and fourth grades at the elementary level. The most
recent six years were spent working as a substitute teacher while I took
time off from a full-time schedule to spend time with my own children at
home. I feel remarkably blessed to be a part of the whole St. Francis
experience.
With Christ as the focus of our room, I believe in creating a supportive,
structured and nurturing learning environment. Each child is expected to
perform at his/her highest potential, and will be encouraged to become a
lifelong learner. All standards will be taught using different strategies
which will enable students to reach their full academic and spiritual
potential. Every student should feel respected and valued, and will be held
accountable for his/her own academic achievement. It is my belief that
parental collaboration is vital for student success, and parental
involvement is greatly encouraged. Our classroom will be one which honors
our Catholic faith at all times and in all respects.
