We are going to be learning the process of using Movie Maker in the Windows operating system. I will be suppling the content so you can learn how to use the features in the application and the process.
Skills being taught in the process are:
- Working with image formats
- Video formats and importing from a camera and file
- Video voiceovers
- Video editing and tips about shooting video
- Editing features within the program with titles and credits
- Mixing images and video together
- Storyboarding
- Voice recording
- Working within two different views of storyboard timelines
- Importing and editing audio files
- Saving process and formats
- Final Product a movie

Please come prepared to class, this is part of your grade. Earn 5 points at each class if you have your computer pocket folder, a pen or pencil to write with and your agenda for recording information. During projects any research or homework that was due for the class.
KEYBOARDING SKILLS: The 7th grade goal is 98% accuracy with 30 WPM.
WPM=WORDS PER MINUTES
USE ULTRAKEY OR SOME TYPE OF FORMAL KEYBOARDING PROGRAM.
Homework for 7th Grade: Practice your typing 15 TO 20 mintues a night.

This chart may be used as a guideline for setting your grade goals. This chart doesn't account for every combination of variables in grading these skills. If finger positioning is poor, then this will affect your grade. SLA's (our new report cards) assess that the student "demonstrate knowledge of skills taught" and to "apply the knowledge of the skills taught. This includes observation assessment of student's performance and growth.

WHEN YOU PRACTICE YOUR ULTRAKEY, PLEASE START WITH A LESSON, AFTER COMPLETING
A LESSON, THEN GO TO SKILL CHECK AND TEST YOUR SKILLS ON THOSE KEYS FROM THE
LESSON. IF YOU CONTINUE TO HAVE TROUBLE WITH A CERTIN KEY, THEN GO BACK AND
REWORK JUST THAT PART OF THE LESSON. DON'T LOOK AT YOUR HANDS. LOOK AT THE
SCREEN AND TYPE. GO FOR ACCURACY FIRST AND THEN YOUR SPEED WILL INCREASE
BECAUSE THEN YOU WILL BECOME MORE SURE OF YOURSELF. YOU MUST MEMORIZE THE
KEYS!!! THAT IS THE SECRET.
Behavior/ Responsible Behavior: Each student needs to enter the technology lab ready to work.
Do not touch the computers until instructed to do so by Mrs. Kahlweiss.
All students are in the lab to learn in the digital classroom.
Anyone disrupting the learning environment with receive a warning and asked to STOP.
After a second correction, then the student will be marked down in their homeroom teacher's disipline system.
IF YOU DON'T KNOW SOMETHING OR ARE NOT SURE HOW TO DO SOMETHING COME INTO THE
LAB AND ASK FOR HELP! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! STUDY! THE TESTS ARE NOT EASY!
