KINDERGARTEN - We will begin by learning our sound movements and playing
games with our letter cards.
1st GRADE - We are in the process of reviewing our two letter "partners" as
well as beginning to learn some 3 letter "teams."
2nd GRADE - We will review our "partners" and finish learning the rest of
them. In 2nd grade we will focus on learning our "teams."
3rd GRADE- We will review all of our "partners" and "teams." We will then
start working on finding the main idea of a paragraph, summarizing, and
figuring out the meaning of an unknown word using context clues.
4th GRADE - Comprehension is "the name of the game" in 4th grade! We will
work on making generalizations, making inferences, finding the main idea,
making judgements and decisions about characters in a story, and figuring out
the difference between a context clue that is general or specific.
