     Dec. 1, Tues. night: Do vocabulary for Chapters 9, 10, 11 in "The Egypt 
Game."
     Dec. 2, Wed. night: Design Egyptian costume using handout.
     Dec. 3, Thurs: No homework due to Walk Through Ancient Civ.
     Dec. 7, Mon. night: Study for quiz on vocabulary and questions in 
Chapter 9, 10, 11 in "Egypt Game." 
     Dec. 8, Tues. night: Read Chapters 12 & 13 in "The Egypt Game." Focus 
on characterization and plot.
     Dec. 9, Wed. night: Do Breaking the Code (p.23) with Hieroglyphics Code 
(p.22). Also, do assignment at bottom of p. 23; use 4"x6" index cards.
     Dec. 10: Thurs. night: Read Chapter 14 in "The Egypt Game."
     Dec. 14: Mon. night: Define and give part of speech for vocabulary for 
Chapters 12, 13, 14 in "The Egypt Game."
     Dec. 15, Tues. night: Study for vocabulary and questions quiz on

     Dec. 1, Tues. night: Read "Mother and Daughter" in text, p. 136-143. Do 
questions 1-5 on p. 144.
     Dec. 2, Wed. night: Write a compare/contrast paragraph about Mrs. 
Moreno and her daughter Yollie. Tell how they are alike and different. 
Include their likes and dislikes; how they handle problems that arise in 
their lives.
     Dec. 3, Thurs. night: Vocabulary and Figurative Language handout 
for "Mother and Daughter."
     Dec. 7, Mon. night: Study for quiz on vocabulary and figurative 
language for "Mother and Daughter."
     Dec. 8, Tues. night: Read "The Smallest Dragonboy" in text, p. 146-161. 
Focus on plot, characterization, motivation, setting, time.
