Dear Parents....A wonderful big hug and thank you for the showering of gifts, food, flowers, morning Starbucks, cards and treats last week. I am truly blessed to be your child's teacher this year and it seems the end is just around the corner. They have all grown at least a foot and their behavior is starting to resemble that of an empowered 7th grader, instead of the shy, reserved, nervous 6th grader that entered middle school for the first time......and that is a good thing! Growth is good....and I see such promise with your boys and girls. We have shared a wonderful year and they are truly ready to take on the independence and responsibility necessary for 7th grade. Thank you for all that you have done to support me this year. We are truly a team here, at St. John School, a team that I am proud to be a part of........Mary Ellen Courtney
