Classroom Management

Classroom Management:

Since lifelong success depends in part on learning to make responsible
choices, I have developed a classroom discipline plan which guides every student to
make good decisions about his or her behavior. The plan below outlines our
rules, positive consequences for good behavior, and consequences for inapproriate
behavior. They are:

Rules:

1.	Listen carefully.
2.	Follow directions.
3.	Work quietly. Do not disturb others who are working.
4.	Respect others. Be kind with your words and actions.
5.	Respect school and personal property.
6.	Work and play safely.

Positive Recognition:

I will recognize and encourage appropriate behavior with words of praise,
“Praise?notes, homework slides and “Good News”notes home.

Consequences:

If a student chooses to break a rule, however, the following steps will be
taken:

First Warning Verbal warning

2nd Warning Student will complete entry #1 on the “Conduct

			Card" and initial.

3rd Warning Student will complete entry #2 on the “Conduct

Card" and initial. The card must be signed by a

parent, or guardian, and be returned to class the

			following day.

4th Warning Student will complete entry #3 on the “Conduct

Card" and initial. The card must be signed by a

parent, or guardian, and be returned to class the

following day. A meeting will be scheduled

between the student, teacher and parent or

			guardian.

Severe Disruption Student will be sent to Principal’s Office or receive a detention

Please be assured that my goal is to work with you to ensure the success of
your child this year. Please read and discuss this classroom discipline
plan with your child and feel free to call me with any concerns that you might
wish to discuss.
