Kindergarten Orientation Notes
~Drop-off~
Gates open at 8:10am
Sit on benches- I will come before bell rings
~Tardy Slips~
Considered late after morning assembly begins
No more than 10 tardies per quarter or report card
witheld. Need doctor's note for medical or dental absences.
~Pick-up~
Pick up in front of 7th grade room by 3:15pm
Daycare students will be escorted and signed in
~Extended Care~
Opens at 7am, closes at 6pm
~Uniforms~
LABEL, LABEL, LABEL!!!!!!
~Snack Time~
No Candy or Soda! One food item, one drink
~Lunch~
Don't send too much food, we will try to send home what is left
~Hot Lunch~
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday-prepaid program
Wednesday- pay that day(we will send home a form in your Tuesday
envelope the first few months)
~Rest Time~
Approx. 30 minutes, standard pillow and case- no blankets
~Tuesday Envelopes~
Fill out necessary forms, return signed envelope by
Friday
~Birthdays~
NO TREATS- Bring book to donate to class library
~Invitations~
Will pass out at school for whole class, all boys, all girls
~Backpacks~
check each day- tell child when sending things in
~Parent-Teacher Conferences~
In November
~Sharing~
Each color group has a day- bring in one item beginning with the letter
of the week
~Clifford and Curious George~
They will make home visits
~8th grade buddies~
Each child will have one- will send home names
