About The Teacher
I am thrilled and excited to start this wonderful learning adventure with all your children. I come to you with a fervent desire to enrich your child with the skills to excel academically, socially, and emotionally. I graduated from St. Julianna School in 19.......??? It has been my goal to have the opportunity to "come home" and teach at this wonderful school. My educational background is a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services and a Master's Degree in Counseling. I have taught First Grade and Kindergarten for many years as well as facilitated many parent education classes. I have also been a Marriage and Family Counselor. In my previous life, I was a professional clown named, Sneakerz! She may have to make an appearance sometime this year! I have 3 children. Shelby, 9, Chloe, 6 and Robbie 3 1/2. They are the lights of my life and continue to enrich my life in every way possible. I have been married to my husband John for almost 13 years and we have been together for nearly 21 years. We both attended Servite and Rosary High Schools and graduated the same year. We are huge Notre Dame fans as we spent time in South Bend, Indiana, while John received his MBA at the University. I love being an active member of our school and parish community in any way possible, most recently as the "crazy" Auction Chairperson for the past 2 years and current year. I believe our personal involvement in our school and church family can bring us closer to others as well as give us a deeper connection and purpose to our faith-based community. I enjoy being creative in anyway possible. Whether it be photography, scrapbooking, teaching, playing guitar, decorating, entertaining, "clowning", acting...I love to express myself! I am confident that this year will bring many exciting and fun filled experiences. I hope it will be not only be academically successful for your child but also a year full of creative learning. It is my hope that your child will gain self-confidence, independence and a deeper desire for learning. Please feel free to speak to me anytime should you have questions or concerns regarding your child. I will make every effort to accommodate your needs. Thank you in advance for your support. I look forward to a great year. GO IRISH!!!!! Mrs. Martin
