Typing Practice

 Typing Practice for Grades 3 - 8.

Scroll down to see practice sentences for each letter.  Practice typing
letters on a word processing program if you do not have a typing program. 
(practice striking the home row letter to the new letter)  Repeat & REPEAT
until you know the key without looking at the keyboard.

Lesson 1 - ASDF JKL;

As a lass ask a lad; sad dad; sad lad; sad Jak;

Lesson 2 - I T . (period)

Kids still salt all salads.  Dad asks if Lili skis.

Lesson 3 - O R N

A tornado rolls in.  Its toll is not fair to
sailors.  Torn sails and lost oars float.

Lesson 4 - H E P

People like and need pets and pets need and like people.
Kindness and food are as essential to pets as to people.

Lesson 5 - W M C

Wes likes clam chowder.  Its is rich with
clams and cream.  Wes chooses chowder each time.
He claims it warms and cheers him.

Lesson 6 - G Y , (comma) Shift

We like going to the ocean.  The sand is like
fine powder.  It makes grand sand castles.  At
high tide, the water sweeps them away.

Lesson 7 - U B

Up in the Alps, boys and girls ski to
school.  By an early age, most Swiss ski.
Girls like to ski and race to win and of 
course boys do too.

Lesson 8 - V X

I visited Grandma every summer.  She lived on
an old farm.  My room was over the kitchen.

Lesson 9 - Q Z

Two zebras are in the zoo.  Zelda and Zorro
are their names.  They zigzag and zoom
dizzily.  They act like zesty zephyrs.

ALPHABET - All letter practice A thru Z

Zip over the alphabet zealously.  Abcdefg
hijklmnop qrstuvwxyz.  Zyxwvutsrqponmlkjih
gfedcba.  Abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz.

Practice typing the sentence below - it uses all the letters in teh alphabet.

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
